Public Relations/Office Manager
Required Education/Experience:
B.A. in English, Writing, Public Relations, Marketing, Office Management or related field. This is an entry level position, however, the ideal candidate will have some experience (academic, volunteer, etc.) in writing and designing newsletters, brochures and pamphlets, flyers and other print materials. Some office experience helpful, but not required.
Required Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Knowledge or experience in writing press releases, proofreading and basic AP style writing; Advanced PC skills a must and candidate must be adept in the following desktop publishing programs: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Publisher. Knowledge of various laptop/projector/audio visual displays and connections.
Character:
Punctual, professional and optimistic with a drive to produce quality work. Must be willing to learn and adapt to a sometimes stressful environment. We are seeking someone who is talented, good at multi-tasking, prioritization, often the first person to take initiative, willing to roll up his or her sleeves, and someone who works well with others. Ability to accept and utilize constructive criticism is a must.
Misc.: Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. Own transportation is a bonus, but not required. Knowledge of Delaware County social services helpful.

Brief Description of Responsibilities :
- Produce and Distribute annual ATOD Awareness Calendar
- Coordinate the annual Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) Awareness Poster Contest
- Serve as agency liaison to members of the Delaware County Tobacco-Free Coalition.
- Creation/Design of ALL program literature (flyers, brochures, meeting reminders, etc.)
- Creation/Design of seasonal newsletter for the Del. Co. Tobacco-Free Coalition
- Writing and disseminating press releases and other news items for publication.
- Plan, coordinate and launch annual prevention campaigns (4)
- Assist with the production of monthly reports on activities and events.
- Order interoffice materials and items on a timely basis
- Assist Student Assistance Program (SAP) staff with misc. reporting materials.
- Serve as assistant to the Director of Prevention & Education
- Represent agency at health fairs and other community events as needed
- Additional responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations at the office.
