The Young
Parents Support Network (YPSN) is a teen parent mentoring
program of The
Center Foundation. Adult mentors work with teen moms
and dads to empower them to realize their potential and become
more self-sufficient. YPSN was developed in collaboration with
Project ELECT of the
Delaware County Intermediate
Unit, which remains a formal partner in the project.
In addition to one-on-one mentoring relationships, YPSN includes
fun group activities such as amusement park trips and sporting
events; workshops on technology, career planning, and more; and
academic supports including tutoring at
Widener University
and college tours.
